Archive for January, 2009
Heather, her future mother-in-law and I went to the bridal fair yesterday. There was a lot to see and yet so much of it was the same. It reinforced our idea that Hy-Vee cake and Jimmy John’s sandwiches were the way to go. The lady from the history museum was there so I got a little better idea about how that would work out. I tried to find out about getting a block of rooms but they said no one was there who could help me so I will have to try e-mailing in, I guess. I missed the chip carving class altogether. Jim got to go though and seemed to have had a good time.
I think we need to order another knife though 🙂
We were off carving tonight. Hopefully next week I will get to paint my bear. Jim spent his time talking machinery so he isn’t as far. He still needs a mouth yet and some toes though.
Happy New Year to all who read this.
In the course of this last year, I learned to blog, took college classes, tiled my kitchen, went to a sock knitting convention, an art conference and some conferences for school. Our cat passed away, we lost several good friends, and our daughter got engaged. Life doesn’t stand still although many times I wish it would. I pray this will be a good year for us all.
